If your pet is going to have a surgery done in our office, there are a few things we’d like you to know about what to expect from the process and the recovery as well.

Patient safety and comfort is always our priority. We provide monitoring of vital signs during all stages of surgery and recovery, in addition to skilled pain management during and after all surgical procedures.

We understand that some pet owners have concerns about having their pets put under anesthesia, so we perform all necessary pre-surgical testing (including blood screening) to ensure that your pet can be safely placed under anesthesia for the procedure.

Once your pet is ready to go home, we’ll contact you and arrange for you to meet with our veterinary team so we can provide you with any necessary instructions for aftercare and recovery. If needed, we can also prescribe pain medications to help with your pet’s recovery process.

If you have any questions about pet surgeries in our office or would like to schedule a surgical consultation, you can book an appointment online or call us at (502) 228-1827.
